Safe and efficient delivery information.
Melvin Coal Company is committed to providing a safe and reliable delivery service to all our customers. We offer nationwide delivery throughout Ireland only, on selected coal products. To ensure a successful drop-off, we maintain strict operational standards for our fleet and delivery personnel. Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible to a standard heavy goods vehicle and that the ground is firm enough to support the weight of the truck and its cargo. Delivery is to kerbside only, and cannot be manually carried by staff or third party service providers.
Safety is our primary concern. Our drivers are trained to assess delivery points for potential hazards, including overhead power lines, narrow gates, or unstable terrain. If a driver deems a location unsafe, we reserve the right to unload at the nearest safe point or reschedule the delivery. Access should be clear of obstructions, and any pets or livestock should be secured during the delivery timeframe.
Our delivery schedules are optimized for efficiency to keep your home fires burning without delay, while also allowing us to offer prices low by keeping efficient routes. We aim to process all orders within 2 - 5 business days. While we strive to meet requested time slots, factors which are beyond our control such as weather, supply chain disruptions, traffic, etc, may impact timing. We will inform customers of any unreasonable delays that may arise.
